Minister distributes subsidized tractors and equipment to farmers in Palnad

Palnadu district in-charge minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar distributed subsidized tractors, drip irrigation systems and farm machinery to farmers and handed over subsidized autorickshaws to beneficiaries under the DRDA-Velugu scheme during his visit to Narasaraopet on Sunday.
The minister attended the second anniversary celebrations of the coalition government and visited exhibition stands showcasing the administration’s achievements over the past two years.
Addressing party workers and beneficiaries, Mr. Ravi Kumar said that the coalition government has fulfilled all the promises made in opposition and is determined to balance social initiatives and economic development. He urged party cadres to bring the government’s development programs to the people.
Highlighting welfare measures, he said the state spends ₹33,000 crore annually on pensions and transferred ₹10,000 crore under the ‘Talliki Vandanam’ scheme in a single day. He also said that the government has strengthened public education by filling more than 16,000 posts through the DSC recruitment process.
Criticizing YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the minister accused the previous government of stalling the Amaravati capital project and the Polavaram irrigation project. He claimed that there was no electricity tariff load during the coalition government’s tenure and promised industrial development in Palnad, including setting up of two compressed biogas stations and promotion of horticulture.
District Collector Kritika Shukla said that Palnadu has emerged as the top performing district in implementing central schemes like Jal Jeevan Mission and PM Surya Ghar. She said ₹397.46 crore was credited to the accounts of mothers of 2.64 lakh students under the Talliki Vandanam scheme, while ₹455.43 crore was given to 2.4 lakh farmers under Annadata Sukhibhava.
