Inaugurating the Kerala-Lakshadweep ‘Youth 4 Nation’ chapter at the Amritapuri Ashram, Mata Amritanandamayi called upon Indian youth to take the lead in protecting the country’s cultural heritage.
Noting that neglecting one’s culture is as profound a loss as not acknowledging one’s own mother, she noted that true personal excellence comes from a deep-rooted love and respect for one’s heritage. Former Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Harikumar Radhakrishnan attended the event as the guest of honor and included a series of lectures held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
“Youth 4 Nation” is a non-political movement that aims to inspire university students across India to engage in constructive national development.
