
Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the largest Indian automobile railway tiles on Tuesday, developed as part of the PM Gati Shakti mission, Manesar Maruti Suzuki India LTD in Haryana.
The Gati Shakti multimodal freight terminal with a 450,000 -year loading capacity per year is the key development of infrastructure, which significantly increases the logistical efficiency of car transport.
Maruti Suzuki was connected to the Patli railway station via a 10-kilometer reserved railway connection, which is part of the 121.7 km of the orbital railway corridor Haryan, developed by Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corp. (HRIDC) Ltd.

He added that recently a large decision was taken to upgrade the services of passenger trains. More than 100 MEM trains (main electric units) will now be expanded-they will increase their composition from 8 to 12 coaches to 16 to 20 coaches-the propulsion of commuting for a short distance.
A new factory in Kazipet in Andhra Pradesh was set up for the production of these trains.
Referring to the successful introduction of Namo Bharat trains: “Supported by a strong public reaction to two Namo Bharat operating trains we decided to produce 50 new Namo Bharat trains to satisfy the growing demand of passengers.”
In terms of passenger and cargo introduction, he said: “In 2024-25, Indian railways transported approximately 7,200 million passengers and 1,617 million tons of cargo. These performances helped Indian railways to achieve the second highest volume of cost worldwide, which meant a fiscal year.”
When he talked about the comfort of passengers, the Minister announced a significant reform in the Tatkal ticket reservation, which is to be made from 1 July. “According to the new rule, only users of the Aadhaar-Authentesited and Kyc verification will be allowed during the first 30 minutes of the reservation window,” he said.
He also talked about the ongoing pilot project in the Bikaner division, where the passenger charts are now being prepared 24 hours in advance and replaces the earlier standard 4 hours before the train departure. This initiative has received highly positive feedback from citizens and public representatives and is expected to significantly improve travel experience.
AMRIT Bharat trains discussion, the Minister said: “Three AMRIT Bharat trains are currently functional and have received a stunning response to the public. In the coming days, six other Amrit Bharat trains will be followed.
As for the development in Haryana, he said before 2014, the annual allocation of the budget on the railway for the state was only £300 crore. “This year, Haryan received a record assignment. £3 416 crore. Over the past 11 years, 823 km of new railway lines have been laid in the state and 100% of the Haryana rail network is now electrified, ”he said.
He stressed the ongoing investment in infrastructure and added: “Currently projects in value £11,800 Crore takes place in Haryana. Within the AMRIT Bharat system, 34 railway stations are being rebuilt. In addition, 540 roads and underpasses were built across the state network of the state. ”
Vaishnaw also mentioned that the Rail Coach in Sonipat is undergoing modernization. “The improved device will soon be prepared for inauguration and will play a key role in strengthening our coach’s production capacity,” he said.
