
The two -week educational program on the “transformation of agriculture for small things through effective marketing” is organized by the National Institute for Managing Management (Administration), where participants from 15 countries are trained.
The program will focus on various aspects of agricultural marketing covering reforms, alternative marketing models, agriculture, national agricultural market, farmers’ market, sorting and testing, contractual agriculture and institutional organization to promote marketing of agricultural production.
The program is organized in the framework of Indian technical and economic cooperation (ITEC) with the support of the Ministry for External Affairs, the Indian government.
A total of 27 participants from 15 countries – Ecuador, Ethiopia, Fiji, Iran, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Nigeria, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe are participated in the program.
Sagar Hanuman Singh, CEO, manages, emphasized the importance of global cooperation in the transformation of agriculture, especially for small farmers. He referred to several government and private initiatives such as minimal support price (MSP), E-NAM, organization of farmers’ producers (FPO), contractual agriculture, stroke and digital agriculture that allow small majens to access better markets and strengthen their income.
