Lack of uniformity in the curriculum and school boards is the main reason why students fail in Kannada, according to a report titled “Why do children fail in Kannada?” submitted to the government by the Kannada Development Authority (KDA).
Prof. Purashothama Bilimale, chairman of the KDA, presented a report to School Education and Literacy Minister Madhu Bangarappa on Thursday, highlighting how language curricula and priorities vary widely between different school boards.
