Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde offers prayers at Puttaparthi

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Prasanthi Nilayam for the first time and offered prayers at the Divine Lotus Feet of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba on Tuesday (October 6, 2026).

Mr. Shinde was received by Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust Managing Trustee RJ Rathnakar who accompanied him during his visit. After prayers at Bhagawan’s Maha Samadhi, Mr. Shinde entered the Bhajan Hall, spent a few moments in the holy sanctum sanctorum and sought Swami’s blessings. A photograph of Bhagawan was presented to Mr. Shinde as a token of love and as a memento of his visit to Prasanthi Nilayam.

Speaking to Mr. RJ Rathnakar, Mr. Shinde expressed his deep sense of peace and tranquility upon entering Prasanthi Nilayam. He was visibly pleased to see several sevadals from Maharashtra at the ashram who warmly greeted him with “Sai Ram” as he moved around the premises.

Appreciating the noble humanitarian activities undertaken by Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Mr. Shinde appreciated Bhagawan’s message and mission of selfless service.
