The temple of Lord Venkates Tirumal will remain 7 September closed because of the lunar eclipse. The temple door closes on 7 September at 3:30 pm and opens again at 3 am on the 8th September after the show Shuddi, Puryahavachanam and other purification rituals.
According to Almanac, the eclipse will start at 21:50 and ends at 1.31 in the morning will be allowed for Darshan from 6:00 on September 8.
With regard to closure, Tirumal Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) abolished Sevas, such as Unjal Seva, Arjith Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankage Seva. The Annadanam complex will also remain closed from 15:00 on September 7th and the service continues at 8:30 in the morning the following day.
For humanitarian reasons, TTD will distribute 30,000 Pulihora packets without the cost of dedicated to designated places.
