
A 25-year-old MBA student died by suicide on Tuesday after jumping from the 13th floor of a residential building in Greater Noida West, police said, NDTV television reported. The woman was identified as Shivika Thakral, daughter of Vinay Thakral, who lived with his family in Sharon Tower of Gaur Saundaryam Society.
The incident took place at Gaur Saundaryam society in Bisrakh police station area and created panic among the residents of the residential complex.

Speaking to NDTV, Gautam Buddha Nagar official said they received information about a woman jumping from a high-rise building on March 10, 2026, after which a police team rushed to the spot.

According to family members, the night before the incident seemed normal. On Monday evening the family dined together and later retired to their rooms without any sign of anxiety. On Tuesday morning, company security informed them that Shivika Thakral had allegedly jumped from the building, according to an NDTV report.

The report said police officials said no suicide note has been found so far.
While preliminary investigations indicate that the case appears to be a suicide, authorities are investigating all possibilities to determine the exact circumstances that led to the incident. The family has not yet filed a complaint and relatives have not been able to provide any clear reason for Shivik’s actions, the report said.
As part of the investigation, police are reviewing CCTV footage from the company’s premises to reconstruct events and understand what happened in the moments before the tragedy.
