Four people died and 30 others were injured during violent clashes between protesters and security forces during the light apex points (LA) LED weaning in Leh in Ladakh on Wednesday.
The protesters claimed that four people were killed in police fire, PTI reported.
The police fired to control the situation after protests for the statehood of Ladakh and the expansion of the sixth schedule to become violent, while the BJP office was ignited by several vehicles.
The administration issued prohibited orders according to section 163 Bharatiya Nagarik Surraksha Sanhita to ban five or more people, reported the press agency citing officials.
The order was issued by the District Judge Sleb Romil Singh Donk, who has been cited as: “Because the notice cannot be delivered individually, this order is approved by Ex Parte. Any breach of this order calls for repressive measures under § 223 BNS.”
The district judge stated that the order was issued for concerns about potential public peace disorders, threatening human life and possible issues of law and order.
Meanwhile, the climate activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his hungry strike on Wednesday after intense clashes.
“I ask Ladakh’s youth to stop violence immediately, because it only causes damage to our business and further deteriorates the situation. We do not want instability in Ladakh and the country,” Wangchuk said to his supporters who gathered in large numbers for strike.
Wangchuk also posted a video message on his x handle, appealing to youth to remain peaceful and stop violence.
“My message about the peaceful journey failed today. I recall the youth to stop this nonsense. It only damages our cause,” he wrote.
and Ladakh riots
The youth wing Lelex points (Lab) called on protest and weaning after two out of 15 people who were hospitalized after September 10 from September 10th, after a decline in their condition on Tuesday evening.
Demonstrators set fire to the safety vehicle in front of the BJP office in Leh and other forces were sent to restore, the officials noted.
