Kozhikode was awarded another global recognition in the form of membership in the global network of cities and communities in the field of age (GNAFCC) of the World Health Organization (GNAFCC).
With this membership, Kozhikode connects to the network of cities that formulate politicians, provide services and develop infrastructure aimed at supporting seniors – holding is healthy, active and creative in old age. The creation of urban age includes solutions to various factors that affect the quality of life of seniors, such as ensuring available public spaces, providing suitable accommodation through community support and guaranteeing access to health services and communication tools.
