Responding to Jindal’s post, Rahul seemingly dropped any doubts about his future.“Thank you, can’t wait for the upcoming season,” the Indian batter wrote.Speculations surrounding Rahul gained momentum after Delhi added Rishabh Pant to their squad earlier this year, who was traded by Kuldeep Yadav to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).Pant’s arrival means Delhi now have two established wicket-taking options, with both players having experience of leading teams. Axar Patel remains another management option, although his position could be under scrutiny following Delhi’s disappointing results in the 2025 and 2026 editions.Despite the combination, Jindal’s comments suggest that Delhi sees Rahul as central to their plans rather than someone they want to move on.Rahul has also been delivering for the franchise with considerable consistency ever since he joined them. He crossed the 1,000-run mark in his first two seasons with Delhi and established himself as one of their most reliable batsmen at the top of the order.With Pant expected to take the responsibility of the wicket, Rahul could now have more freedom to focus solely on his batting.
