Minister of Industry P. Rajeeve published this at a press conference here on Wednesday and stated that this confirmed the position of Keraly as a leading investment destination with increased confidence of investors in the government.
He said that five more projects with an expenditure of over 1,000 GBP Crore and the potential to generate 2,400 jobs were scheduled to start in June.
“By combining transparent digital tools, decentralized design and reform, Kerala policy sets a new scale to promote investment and project implementation in the country,” he said.
Among the main proposals that appeared in IKGS, Genome Valley in Life Sciences Park with an investment of 3,800 GBP Crore in Thiruvananthapuram will soon begin, while Unity Mall in Thiruvananthapuram will be opened in November, the Minister said.
A specialized advisory group, chaired by the Minister, was created for monitoring the project, coordination across departments and solving questions.
The meeting of the political reform, chaired by the main minister, is scheduled for June. The meeting will deal with procedural and politician narrow places that affect the implementation of investment and will focus on improving overall easy business.
The portal was launched, industrialand.kerala.gov.in to create a land database available in the State for Industrial purposes, the minister said.
The portal will act as a matching website where those who have soil for industrial purposes can be reported, said Mr. Rajeeve.
Another portal developed by Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation will provide investors and the update department and information on the status of each proposal.
They also contain a monthly progress report that ensures transparency and liability of stakeholders. About 450 EOI has been received on IKGS, for which more than 370 project levels have been carried out and updated messages and photos have been uploaded on the IKGS dashboard.
