The Minister of Domestic and Cooperation AMIT Shah on Sunday (July 6, 2025) called for transformation in the Indian cooperative sector and stated that key pillars are transparency, acceptance of technology and well -being a member.
“Without technology, there is no prosperity for cooperatives,” said Mr. Shah to solve the Fourth Day of the Ministry of Cooperation Foundation in Amul Dairy in Gujarat’s Anand.
“Transparency, technology and maintaining the interests of members in the center – these three principles must become the working culture of each team from Jammu and Kashmir to Kamakhya (in Assam) and every village of Earth,” said BJP leader.
The Minister outlined the ambitious vision for this industry, quoted government achievements since the establishment of a specialized Ministry of Cooperation in 2021. “Under the leadership of the Narendry Modi government, we registered 2 lake primary agricultural credit companies (PAC).
Mr. Shah also introduced a five -point plan for the growth of cooperative growth and said, “First – people, which means that each initiative must benefit ordinary Indians. The second – PAC, strengthening our primary cooperative networks. The third platform, which means digital infrastructure.
The Minister of Trade unions emphasized success and predicted: “Amulo’s turnover will exceed 1 Lakh Crore next year. He launched several new amul devices, including mozzarella cheese race and automated processing units.
The Minister also paid tribute to the founder of Bharatiya Jan Sangh Syam Syam Prasad Mokerjee on his anniversary of birth and attributed the integration of Jamm and Kashmir with India to Mokerjee. He remembered Mokerjee’s opposition to Article 370 and referred to his slogan – “Ek Desh Mein to Vishan, Pradhan Aur to Nishan Na nai Chalenge” (one country cannot have two institutions, two premieres and two flags). Shah said that the position of Mokerjee laid the basis for the removal of the constitutional provision and full integration of the region into India.
The BJP leader has closed a challenge to the action: “Cooperative movement must become an Indian economic backbone. Since 60+ initiatives have already started, we are determined to make this sector by the driving force of inclusive growth.”
