Kerala Electricity Minister K Krishnankutty on Wednesday (April 29, 2026) denied that there was any load shedding in the state, which has been facing frequent power outages of late, and claimed that “excessive usage” was causing “power blackouts”, leading to blackouts.
Mr. Krishnankutty further alleged that such “power cuts” due to “overload” were of short duration of 5-10 minutes.
