The General Education Department has changed the controversial order issued a few days ago that required higher secondary directors to perform officials.
The Minister of General Education V. Sivankutty on Monday stated in a post on the social media that the instructions were issued to change the order as a result of the objections of teachers and directors on certain parts of the order.
The order stated that there were no jobs in higher secondary officials to require a full -time official. She had this work that the teaching hours of the directors were shortened to eight periods per week. In addition, higher secondary teachers did not have on average more than two hours of teaching a day. Therefore, it would be possible to give teachers to the allegations of the school library, the order said.
The reason for the order
It was issued in the High Court order in connection with the petition filed by the manager of Valayanchirangara High Secondary School in Ernakulam, which was looking for a sanction as an official, librarian and full -time.
Higher secondary teachers and directors pointed out the number of periods that the teacher had to teach in a week, among other obligations such as continuous evaluation, laboratory activities and related work, work work, higher secondary reception, data collection, scholarships related, etc.
They also pointed out that they had to work even after school hours to fulfill their duties. For this reason, they did not receive enough time to connect with the students and involved them in extracurricular and personal development activities. Although secondary school teachers were appointed by the government of school vice -president before the unification of schools, they did not introduce secondary school officials, peons and staff with inferior to perform higher secondary office work, emphasized.
On Monday, the government issued an altered order that pointed out that because in higher secondary there was not enough work to guarantee a full -time official in all schools, he was the headmaster and teachers with less loads who were currently sharing work.
“Financial commitment”
He also said that, since the government had already had a huge financial obligation in the higher secondary part, sanctioning sites would other than the most urgent for any school to create a precedent and create an even more financial burden for the government.
However, the teachers again took the exception of the proposal that the higher secondary for the government created a huge financial commitment for the government. The Order caused it to sound as if the higher secondary was not part of public education, the association of secondary school teachers said. He asked which study formed the basis of this conclusion by the government, and stressed that public education could not be seen from the profit and loss lens.
