The Congress in Kerala on Monday (May 4, 2026) thanked the people of the state for what it called a “landmark victory” as trends in April 9 Council polls indicated a decisive lead for the UDF.
Addressing the media at the party headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram, KPCC president Sunny Joseph said the emerging verdict is a clear rejection of the “anti-people policies” of the CPI(M)-led LDF government.
“Vote counting is still going on. The current trend indicates that the people of the state are giving the UDF a historic victory,” he said.
