
The state entrance examination for engineering and pharmacy courses, Keam, for the academic year 2025-26 ended on Tuesday.
The computer test was carried out at 192 locations in 134 test centers in Kerala. The centers were also set up in Dubai, Nový Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai. The Keam test took place for the first time in Chennai and Bengalur.
According to the Commissioner of the Commissioner for Entrance Examination, a total of 85,296 candidates appeared for the entrance examination in Kerala, while 1 105 candidates participated in five outer centers.
For BPHARM 33 304, candidates wrote an exam in Kerala and another 111 candidates carried out a test from the centers outside the state.
In 2024, the KEAM entry test switched to a fully online format. Compared to last year, there were significantly more computer laboratory devices this year. This allowed most candidates to be assigned to the centers in their preferred districts.
In the districts such as Malappuram, Kozhikode and Kannur, where an adequate computer laboratory was not available, temporary laboratories were established at the Human Resources Development Institute (IHRD) -run universities and Keltron schools, official sources said.
In addition, universities and institutions operating according to the technical education department have dredged their tests to provide laboratory equipment for the entrance examination.
