
Kartik Aaryan is in the center of discussion before the event of independence – Azadi Utsav – in the US. Employees of the Federation of West India Cine (Fwice) reportedly issued an announcement and urged it to resign from the event organized by the Pakistani restaurant.
The Aaryan team has now issued a statement and explained that the actor “is not associated with this event in any capacity” and “never made an official notice of participation in the same”.
Fwice serves as an umbrella organization for 36 different craft associations in the media and entertainment industries.
Why was the announcement issued
The event concerned, Azadi UTSAV – Indian Independence Day is to take place on August 15, 2025 and includes Kartik Aaryan as the main guest, Fwice said.
The celebration is organized by AGA restaurant and eating, Pakistani facilities concerning Shaukat Maredia. The same restaurant is also involved in another event-Jishhn-E-Azadi-indicating day of independence of Pakistan, where Pakistani singer ATIF Aslam.
“The current support of the national events of Lndian and Pakistani national events not only creates a conflict of interest, but also violates the ongoing national sentiment and directive,” reads the announcement of Fwice.
What do Fwice directives say?
Fwice previously published a directive for all members and parties of the film industry in Lndian to completely boycott Pakistani artists, techniques and artists as a result of a deadly attack of Pahalgam, which killed 26 civilians.
“We believe that you may not have known about the background or association of the organizers. So if we strongly ask you to immediately withdraw your participation from this event. If you have been aware of, it becomes even more concerned – and we expect to clarify and immediate distance from these associations,” Fwice said.

After the announcement, the Kartik team said that “contacted the organizers and asked to remove all promotional materials with his name and image”.
