With regard to the deteriorating flood situation along the rivers Krishna and Bhima, the Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiaha on Sunday issued a number of guidelines to leading officials concerning the affected districts of Kalaburagi, Bidar, Yadgir and Vijayapura.
The crisis is enhanced by severe collisions in Kalaburagagi and significant release of water from Maharashtra’s Ujani and Neera Reservoirs and leaving several low -laid villages such as Bennetra, vulnerable to inundations.
As a result, the Chief Minister ordered the Minister of Income by Krishny Byre Gowdy, the main secretary of Shalini Rajneesh and the representative of Kalaburagagi to maintain strict vigilance and ensure a quick deployment of rescue and effort efforts.
Siddaramaiaha, emphasized the need for direct and personal reactions, ordered officials that representatives of the Commissioners and CEOs Panchayat (CEO) of four North Karnataka districts must personally visit floods and implement emergency measures.
The statement from his office added that Mr. Siddaramaiah also called for increased responsibility at the level of the state’s secretariat.
“District secretaries must immediately visit the districts, review the situation and instruction of the district administration to take the necessary steps,” Minister Thechief at a meeting with officials, where Gowda and Rajneesh were also present.
The main minister emphasized the necessity of robust coordination between them and insisted that the Secretary of the Rural Development Department and other main secretaries of the Water Resources Department participate in the affected areas.
Because the news of waterlogging, flooded fields and inaccessible routes continued to come from Kalaburagagi, Mr. Siddaramaiah confirmed that the preservation of human and animals lives is of essential importance.
“Prevention measures must be taken to avoid losing human lives, livestock and animals,” he said.
In order to alleviate the anxiety of displaced families, he ordered the establishment of auxiliary centers for the affected person, together with the provision of sufficient feed for livestock.
Since then, the district officials who have been on these instructions have since begun to relocate vulnerable families to ensure shelters.
According to sources of Ptireport citing rescue teams equipped with boats, they guard areas affected by floods, while schools and community halls are transformed into temporary embossed camps.
The villagers, many of whom are farmers, expressed concern about their crops and livestock animals, added.
