A team comprising Jana Sena legislators Konatala Ramakrishna, Panchakarla Ramesh Babu and Ch. Vamsi Krishna Yadav was on a tour of North Andhra districts to meet party leaders and cadres and instruct them to start working for the coming municipal elections.
The team, which completed its first leg of the tour in Vizianagaram on Saturday, will have a rendezvous in Srikakulam on Monday. The team asked the local leaders to submit their grievances against the changes in the departmental jurisdictions of the respective civic bodies. Currently, Vizianagaram has 50 divisions and the number is expected to increase to 62.
Avanapu JSP leader Vikram presented a report to the visiting team on the opportunities for the party in the next local body elections. He reportedly asked the team to arrange coordination meetings with alliance partners TDP and BJP in all districts. He said it would benefit all the alliance parties in the next elections.
Senior JSP leader Adada Mohana Rao said the party has a good network in Parvatipuram and other parts of Parvatipuram-Manyam district.
JSP Srikakulam district president Pisini Chandra Mohan exuded confidence that local party leaders would gain more confidence from the top leaders’ visit to Srikakulam on Monday. He said that the party will prove its strength whenever elections are held in Srikakulam district.
