Sunrisers Hyderabad (PTI Photo) Sunrisers Hyderabad’s commanding win over Punjab Kings rocked the IPL 2026 points table and moved them to the top in a highly charged season. Strong performances from Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan saw SRH post a dismal 235/4 before restricting PBKS to 202/7. This result not only handed Punjab their third loss in a row but also slipped them from the top spot to second place. At the top, SRH now lead the standings with 14 points from 11 matches, with seven wins and four losses, with a healthy net rate of +0.737. Punjab Kings follow close behind with 13 points from 10 matches, including six wins, three losses and one draw, and despite the defeat, they have maintained a strong NRR of +0.571. Royal Challengers Bengaluru are third with 12 points from nine matches and boast the best net success rate in the competition at +1.420. Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans are also on 12 points, placed fourth and fifth respectively. RR have a slightly better NRR of +0.510 compared to GT’s -0.147, which could prove key in the playoff race. Chennai Super Kings remain in sixth position with 10 points from 10 games and an NRR of +0.151, still very much in the hunt. Seventh-placed Delhi Capitals have eight points from 10 matches, but their poor NRR of -0.949 continues to hurt their chances. Kolkata Knight Riders are eighth with seven points from nine matches, including one without a result, and an NRR of -0.539. Mumbai Indians are ninth with six points from 10 matches and an NRR of -0.649, needing a near-perfect result to stay alive. At the bottom, Lucknow Super Giants struggled the most, managing just two wins in nine matches. With four points and a net rate of -1.076, their playoff hopes hang in the balance.
