The 15-year-old prodigy became the youngest cricketer in history to smash 100 T20 sixes before turning 20. He also broke the record for the fastest player to reach the milestone in terms of number of balls faced, needing just 514 deliveries to do so, surpassing Kieron Pollard’s long-standing mark of 843 balls.

Sooryavanshi, facing Mohammed Siraj, blasted the very first ball he faced for a huge six over long-on with absolutely no regard for reputation or pressure despite RR chasing a massive target of 230 runs. The teenage sensation continued to attack the Gujarat Titans bowlers, racing to 36 from just 16 balls, smashing three fours and three sixes during another breathtaking cameo at the top of the order. In the end, however, Siraj had the decisive say in the dramatic battle. The GT pacer produced a fiery 146.6km/h short ball that sped Sooryavanshi into a mistimed shot, with Arshad Khan completing the catch. Siraj celebrated aggressively after the goal and roared with joy after the dangerous youngster was sent off.The milestone also had a special meaning given the opponent. It was against Gujarat Titans last season that Sooryavanshi announced himself to the cricketing world with a sensational 35-ball century. A year later, against the same side, he created a thrilling moment again. The record came during an overall tough night for Rajasthan Royals after Gujarat Titans amassed 229/4, powered by brilliant knocks from Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan. But despite GT’s dominance, Sooryavanshi managed to create history with a single swing of the bat.
