
NEW DELHI: Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer scored fluent half-centuries as Punjab Kings beat five-time champions Mumbai Indians by seven wickets in IPL 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday.After Mumbai Indians posted a competitive 195/6, Prabhsimran (80 off 39 balls) and Iyer (66 off 35 balls) led a commanding chase to help Punjab Kings reach 198/3 in just 16.3 overs. The target of 196 was achieved with 21 balls to spare, setting up a dominant victory. It was also the third victory of the Punjab Kings over the Mumbai Indians.With this emphatic win, Punjab Kings created history by becoming the first team to register six IPL wins against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.Punjab Kings enjoyed great success at the venue, winning six out of 11 matches there against Mumbai Indians.
