Amidst the frenzy surrounding the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, social media personality Rakesh Trehan aka Raja D King has announced a unique langar for the iPhone. Free distribution of iPhone 17 and above will take place on September 22.

According to Trehan, 10 lucky winners will be chosen for the iPhones. The event is said to take place live in front of the public and the media.
It is reported that the ‘iPhone langar’ event will initially consist of 1000 people out of which 10 people will take home an iPhone. Initially, only people from Chandigarh and Mohali will be selected as winners, he said.
“On September 22, the distribution will begin live here at this location, in front of everyone. All media are invited. Everyone we invite will be welcome. Those who have come here before and supported us will also be invited. Selected people from Chandigarh and Mohali will be distributed iPhones live in front of everyone. The names of the lucky recipients will be drawn in front of everyone and they will be given PTI phones.”
iPhone 17 and up for distribution
According to NDTV, Trehan said that the iPhone 16 has been canceled from the event. In the future, iPhone 17 and beyond will be distributed to people.
“We planned to distribute the iPhone 16 and 17 models and continue with the newer models, but we dropped that idea because people who got the iPhone 16 might complain to Mata Ji and ask if they weren’t dedicated enough to get one,” he said.
How to Win a Free iPhone
Trehan also set a condition for those who want to win iPhones. According to the Times of India, he said that people in the group will have to write down “Jai Mata Di” once a day until they get the iPhones. He reportedly added that those who might forget their daily quota will be able to make it up by typing it in twice the following day. He reportedly said that the entire exercise will be monitored to select winners, while those who fail to comply will not be given iPhones.
More cities to be announced
Trehan said he plans to give away 100 iPhones in Chandigarh and 200 in Mohali as per his original plan. However, he added that 10 iPhones will be distributed for now on September 20 with plans to further distribute to 10 more cities in Punjab, according to PTI.
He said people in other cities will have 12-13 days to prepare and comply before the next distribution. The next distribution date will be announced on October 5.
