The iPhone 18 launch drew crowds of eager buyers across India, and Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal was among those who picked up Apple’s latest flagship on launch day.

Kaushal was spotted at Apple BKC in Mumbai on Friday, September 18, buying the newly launched iPhone 18 Pro Max as the latest lineup went on sale across the country.

Visuals captured by the paparazzi showed the ‘Raazi’ actor inside the Apple showroom checking out the device and taking selfies. He was also seen holding a new iPhone and waving at the cameras before leaving the store.

iPhone 18 sales kick off launch day

Apple began retail sales of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in India on Friday after opening pre-orders for both models earlier this month.

Apple BKC was among the company’s stores offering the new Pro models to customers from launch day.

The launch also attracted excited shoppers who arrived hours before stores opened. A customer from Bengaluru, Rahul, who said he has been buying iPhones since the iPhone 7, reached the store at around 5am.

Describing the annual launch as a “festival”, he said: “I was already here around 5 in the morning. There was a long queue. People from Haryana, Delhi and Mumbai are here just to buy iPhone. I have been buying iPhones for a very long time. I remember my first iPhone was iPhone 7. Since then I have always loved buying iPhone as my iPhone. The launch is like a festival. Every year I try to buy iPhone,” he said.

iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max: What’s new?

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are available in black, silver, glacier and new burgundy finishes.

Pro models feature a 48MP main Fusion camera with variable aperture and new Pro camera controls. They are powered by the Apple A20 Pro chip and feature a new vapor chamber designed to improve performance, AI capabilities and battery life.
