Innovation and technical skills are key for youth, says AP government adviser

Innovation, technical skills, hard work and determination are essential for young people to overcome challenges and shape their future, Andhra Pradesh Government Adviser and APNRT Chairman Dr said on Monday (September 28, 2026). Ravi Kumar Vemuru.

Addressing the inaugural session of the two-day “National Management Meet” at Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU), Dr. Vemuru emphasized the need for students to be aware of social developments and act responsibly. He said that innovation and technical capability along with social awareness will help the youth to effectively respond to emerging challenges.

Organized jointly by the Departments of Commerce and Business Administration and International Business Studies, approximately 250 teams from colleges across the country participate in the meeting. Various competitions are held to promote creativity, leadership and management skills.

University executive council member and industrialist Tulasi Ramachandra Prabhu said the industry is increasingly preferring candidates with practical knowledge and problem-solving skills. He urged the students to enhance their creativity and technological knowledge to contribute to India’s economic aspirations.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Inaugurating the event, K. Gangadhara Rao said that such platforms provide students with an opportunity to showcase their talent and develop self-confidence through creative activities.

Rector prof. Raminini Sivarama Prasad encouraged the students to pursue entrepreneurship while Registrar Prof. G. Simhachalam emphasized on hands-on learning, communication skills and adaptability.

Event organizer Prof. V. Chandrasekhar Rao said management education should go beyond classrooms. The two-day event features competitions such as “Trade Titans” and “Next-Gen Management”.
