India vs Afghanistan Live Score, 1st T20I: India face a tough pick at the top of the order when they take on Afghanistan in the first match of the three-match T20I series on Sunday.

The big question is whether India will go with fearless batsman ‘Boy Wonder’ Vaibhav Sooryavanshi or rely on the experience and talent of Sanju Samson.

Samson or Sooryavanshi: A tough call

Sooryavanshi was selected in the playing XI during India’s tour of England at the expense of Samson. However, by the last game of the series, the 15-year-old had to clear the way for the return of the senior batsman.

It’s not a straightforward decision for team management. Samson and Abhishek Sharma form the more settled T20I opening pair and have done quite well together.

However, India would ideally like to give both Samson and Sooryavanshi ample opportunity before finalizing the squad for the Asian Games in Japan.
