
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema till May 7, while the rest of the state will experience hot, humid and unpleasant weather.
On Thursday, Gudur in Nellore district recorded the season’s highest temperature of 45.8 C, while heatwave conditions were observed in 216 out of 688 mandals in the state.
