Hyderabad woman arrested for murdering husband with lover

The Miyapur police have taken a woman into custody for allegedly murdering her husband with the help of her lover. She contacted the police and claimed he had gone missing about seven months ago.

The case was initially registered as a missing person complaint in November 2025. However, the investigation took a dramatic turn after the police allegedly discovered that the woman was involved in her husband’s disappearance.

After examining CCTV footage and detailed call records of the woman, investigators reportedly found that she and her alleged lover conspired to kill the victim, identified as Venkatesh.

Police suspect that the duo took the body to the state border near Maharashtra after the murder and buried it in an attempt to destroy evidence.

During the investigation, the Miyapur police exhumed the body and confirmed his identity as the victim.

During interrogation, the woman allegedly confessed to murdering her husband because he became an obstacle to her relationship with her lover. The police have not yet commented on the case.
