Hyderabad to host three-day Congress on Sickle Cell, Thalassemia from October 23

Hyderabad will host the 4th Congress of the Global Action Network on Sickle Cell and Other Inherited Blood Disorders (GANSID) 2026 from October 23 to 25 at the Hyderabad International Convention Center (HICC), Madhapur.

The conference will bring together around 700 delegates, including medical specialists, researchers, healthcare workers, representatives of patient organisations, politicians and community advocates from 27 countries to discuss sickle cell disease, thalassemia and other inherited blood disorders.

Lanre Tunji-Ajayi, CEO, GANSID, and Chandrakant Agrawal, President, Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society (TSCS), Hyderabad, announced the event at a press conference on Thursday.
