Sunrisers Hyderabad’s win over Rajasthan Royals was shaped by a clear plan for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. It came out of a simple but decisive discussion between bowling coach Varun Aaron and debutant Praful Hing.
Implementation of that plan set the tone of the match. At the post-match press conference, Varun Aaron revealed how this conversation unfolded.

“The only plan if we are talking about the two debutants was simple. I wanted them to enjoy the game. You only make your debut once in any format of cricket and I felt that given where they both came from, what they did today was huge,” Aaron said.

“A lot of credit goes to Praful because he had the belief. He told me that he had taken Vaibhav earlier and he would do it again today… The only discussion we had was about his angle. He wanted to go around the wicket but I told him to stay above the wicket and he would get him from there. The plan was his, the belief was his and I’m really happy for him.”.
That purity was immediately visible on the field. Hinge dismissed Sooryavanshi off his second ball, it confirmed both his own confidence and the tactical entrance from the underground floor. It was a breakthrough that opened the floodgates as Rajasthan slipped to 1 for 3 in no time.

Pant did not stop at one wicket. He went on to remove Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorius in the same over, leaving Rajasthan stunned early in the chase.
He later returned to dismiss Riyan Parag, finishing with four wickets and effectively breaking the backbone of the innings.
At the other end, Sakib Hussain ensured there was no recovery. He removed Yashasvi Jaiswal early and struck at key moments, including the wicket of Donovan Ferreira, who briefly threatened a comeback.
A lower order followed soon after, the wickets of Jofra Archer and Ravi Bishnoi completing the innings.
Rajasthan were bowled out for 159but the damage had already been done much earlier, in a plan that was simple, clear, and perfectly executed.
