Dhruv Jurel described his knock against KKR as a dream come true after receiving praise from Sachin Tendulkar on Twitter. Jurel pulled off what was probably the best trick of the season to sack Cameron Greene.
As Cameron Green progressed down the pitch, Ravi Bishnoi played a googly down the leg side. The serve took a sharp turn, which presented a challenge for Jurel as his view was briefly obstructed by the batter. Despite the difficulties, Jurel remained composed and dived to his left to collect the ball cleanly. Then he produced a moment of brilliance with a shot one-handed direct hit on the stumpswith Green very close to his land.

Despite the attention surrounding his performance, Jurel remains focused on his process and avoids distractions.
“Social media is a great tool, but it can also be a distraction when overused. I try to balance both and avoid it on match days because I want to focus on my process and scenarios. I don’t want them to distract me,” said Jurel.
Talking about Tendulkar’s tweet, Jurel mentioned that it motivates him to perform even better.
“Mr Sachin’s tweet felt like a dream come true. He is such a legend and it’s great to get praise from him. It motivates me to perform better and get more recognition,” added Jurel.
Jurel’s Pride in Wicketkeeping Work
This season, Jurel was handed the gloves on a full-time basis by Rajasthan Royals (RR) following the exit of Sanju Samson from the franchise. Under Kumar Sangakkara, the young wicketkeeper has shown consistency.
Jurel attributes his success on the field to his dedication to consistency with the gloves.
“I am grateful to play under Sangakkara, a cricket legend. There is no special secret to cricket, but I am hardworking and consistent in keeping the wicket. I am not expecting miracles, but I am focusing on preparation,” explained Jurel.
RR will face LSG in Lucknow in the upcoming match.
