Thanks to the millions of bus users who are keenly following the updates on potential major disruption to Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) services. with a labor strike looming, the state government rushed to manage the situation and called for a meeting with the RTC Joint Action Committee, a trade union body, on Tuesday (April 21, 2026) at 5 p.m.
The strike, which is scheduled to come into effect with morning duties on Wednesday (April 22, 2026), remains in force, RTC JAC official Thomas Reddy told The Hindu on Tuesday. He added that it is the JAC’s responsibility to initiate a dialogue with the TGSRTC management, which includes Vice Chairman and Managing Director (VC & MD) Y. Nagi Reddy as well as the government represented by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar.
