Temperatures in Chennai the city and the rest of the coastal stations of the state may have seen a slight increase since May 1 when westerly winds started blowing from the hot Rayalaseema region.
Already witnessing temperatures of 2-3 degrees above normal, interior areas could witness a further rise, the Regional Meteorological Center (RMC), Chennai said on Monday. Light to moderate rain has also been forecast till May 2 at isolated places across the state, which could reduce temperatures.
