The 21-year-old looked in complete control before his dramatic second-set collapse but recovered strongly to lift the trophy. After sealing the victory with her sixth match point, Nosková fell to the grass in celebration.Nosková dominated the opening set and was on the verge of victory after taking a 5-2 lead in the second. However, she wasted five match points as Muchová won five games in a row to force a deciding set. During a tense spell, Noskova tried to block out the crowd by putting her fingers in her ears and later covering her head with a towel after another dropped serve.Mladicka regrouped brilliantly in the final set and won her first Wimbledon title. It was also her second grass court title of the season, having won the Berlin Open a few weeks earlier.Nosková became the third Czech in four years to win Wimbledon, after Markéta Vondroušová in 2023 and Barbora Krejčíková in 2024. Czech legends Petra Kvitová and Martina Navrátilová were present on center court, with Navrátilová watching from the Royal Box before the Princess of Wales presented the trophy. The win will lift Noskova to a career-high world ranking of seventh when the new rankings are released. At 21, she is also the youngest Wimbledon champion since Kvitova won the title at the same age in 2011. Her triumph follows 19-year-old Mirra Andreeva’s success at the French Open, marking the first time since 2003 that an under-21 player won both Roland Garros and Wimbledon in the same year.
