Central Travancore continues to win under the impact of serious floods induced by perennial precipitation, while the districts of Kottayam, Pathanamthita and Alappuzha do not misunderstand Brunt. With regard to the deteriorating weather, the authorities announced a holiday for all educational institutions in Kottayam and Kuttanad Taluk.
The Kuttanad area, spanning over three districts, was the worst affected. The torrential runoff from the upper areas flooded the huge areas through several rivers. Water levels violated the danger, flooded low -lying areas and seriously disrupted normal life. The inner roads were underwater and paralyzed traffic on many routes.
In Talavady Panchayat, flood waters entered the chakkulathavu temple and its approaching roads, which prevented access to the sanctuary.
On the Chakkulakulakulakava – Kidangara in Muttar and Edrathua – Koduppunna and Edathua -mampuzhakary, they are also immersed, limited vehicle, and on Edrathua – Koduppunna and Edathua -mampuzhakary, limited sections of vehicles.
Strong winds
High -speed winds accompanying rains uprooted trees, many of which fell on the houses and caused partial structural damage. So far, 19 houses have been announced in the ALAPPUZHA district. The power supply remains disturbed in several areas due to damaged line and fallen trees.
Seven relief camps were established in the region, currently holding 455 individuals out of 122 families. In Kuttanad, there are up to 11 centers of Gruel to provide floods with flood food and basic services.
In Pathanamthitta, approximately 140 people out of 40 families, mainly from low -laid areas, displaced flood water. The persistent rain and strong winds have deteriorated the situation in hilly areas, damaging houses, infrastructure and agricultural land.
According to official data, 197 houses suffered partial damage, while four were completely destroyed. Thirvvalla taluk recorded the highest number of damaged houses (53), followed by morning (37), Adoor (32) and Kozhencherry (31). Konni and Malalappally reported 22 affected houses.
Orange
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange warning of the Greeks Pamba, Achaank and Manimala. The floods were severe in areas such as ThiroOLapuram, Atmari, Pulikathrali and Mangalassse in Thiruvalle.
Cheruklanji in the morning received the highest precipitation for 198 mm, followed by Kakki (175 mm), Papa (129 mm), Moozhiar (126 mm) and Vadasserikkara (134 mm).
Eight embossed camps were opened in the district, including six in Thirvallle Taluk, which jointly sheltered 140 people, including 67 men, 56 women and 17 children.
Power outages remain widespread because strong winds have damaged 124 high voltage posts, 677 low voltage posts and 992 transformers. The State Electric Council of Kerala (KSEB) estimates losses at 68.2 Lakh.
The agricultural sector also suffered severe losses, with more than 90.75 hectares destroyed, affecting 1,676 farmers. Total damage is estimated at CRORE 2.52 GBP.
In Kottayam
In Kottayam, immersion of a number of houses across Kottayam, Vaikom and Changanassery Taluks. Thiruvarpu Panchayat is almost completely underwater, while about half of Ayamanama and Eastern Panchayat Cumarakom was also affected. Parts of Manarcad, Vijayapuram, Udayanapuram and Vechur Panchayats and the area in the village of Vaikom face similar devastation due to overflowing rivers.
Currently, there are 36 relief camps throughout the district and 675 people from 210 families live. On Friday alone, 48 other houses were reported, which increased the monsoon season to 273.
The power supply remains inconsistent in areas where the trees have reduced power lines and poles. KSEB estimated the cumulative loss in Kottayam and Pala for Crore 7.9.
The agricultural sector also significantly affected. According to the District Agriculture Department, the crops were damaged on 126 hectares, resulting in a loss of 4.27 crore.
