The Rajeshwar Rao justice from the TELANGANA High Court ordered the University of Hyderabad and the state government not to complete the occupation of the associate professor in Sanskrit studies reserved for the planned caste waiting for a written petition decision.
Assistant Assistant at AV College, R. Nagaraju, who asked for a post, submitted a demanding rejection of his candidacy. The petitioner’s advisor claimed that his client had the qualification needed for the post of Associate Professor in Sanskrit Studies such as a Master’s title, with at least 55% stamps, Ph.D. in the relevant/allied disciplines and at least eight years of teaching and/or research. He asked for an online post and the same was acknowledged by the university. However, the university’s website stated that its application was rejected and stated that it “is not in the field of specialization”.
The petitioner sent a letter to the university according to the law of RTI, who was looking for information on what reasons and on the basis of his application was rejected. He also wanted to know the full details of checking the applications and the selection process. The university replied and stated that all details could not be explained because recruitment was in the process. She stated that “information that is not kept” in terms of investigation if a specific regulation has been prescribed that prescribes a specialization for the contribution.
Subsequently, the petitioner found detailed brochures of the university that postgraduate and grade in any Ayurvedy branch recognized under the IMCC law, together with specialization in Siddhanta Samhita, exposure to Indian/modern psychology and Sanskrit methodology, is part of the “desirable qualification”.
The petitioner’s advisor claimed that the basic qualification for the contribution was a master’s degree and Ph.D. in the allied discipline (which includes sanskrit). “Nowhere is the level of grade in Ayurveda not mentioned as a qualification,” the Council said.
The judge issued the announcement to the university bodies and the state government prior to the adjournment of the matter until July 17th.
