Gujarat is placed in the first place in July under Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-Janman). The state approved 12,489 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin); electrified 5,200 households of particularly vulnerable tribal groups (PVTG); 37 mobile towers installed; ensured 100% water supply to 2,803 households; and approved 17 road connection projects to improve access.
The Central Government program focuses on providing basic PVTG services. The state exceeded the monthly state assessment based on the implementation of PM-Janman.

The mission began with Prime Minister Narendra Modi 15 November 2023, marked as Janjatiya Gaurav Divas. It covers 75 PVTGS across 18 states and one territory. The aim is to ensure access to housing, drinking water, health care, education, electricity, livelihood and communication for communities that remained outside the formal development systems, officials said on Monday.
The Western state is home to five PVTGS – Cathodes, Kotwalia, Padhar, Siddi and Kolgha – and the government focuses on solving development gaps through targeted delivery, added officials.

In the field of health care, 22 mobile medical units operate in tribal areas. “Up to 67 Anganwadi centers are set up to become functional in support of early childhood care. The construction of the 13 hostel is approved to extend access to education for children PVTG,” the officials said.
Eight ministries of the trade union provides coordinated provision of services according to PM-Janman. These include the Ministry of Development Rural Development, the Jal Shakti Ministry, the Ministry of Health and Family Care, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry for the Development of Women and the Child, the Ministry for Communication and the Ministry for Tribal Affairs.
“To raise awareness of the mission, the Gujarat government started a campaign of information, education and communication (IEC),” the officials said, adding: “Within this, points of Selfie 920 PM were created.
Services from other government programs were also provided during the off -road campaign. This included the issue of 23,374 Aadhaar cards, opening 12,229 accounts Jan Dhan and distribution of 2,998 caste certificates and 14,827 ration cards. In addition, 1,051 Kisan credit cards were distributed and 4,048 recipients received assistance within the PM-Kisana Samman Nidhi system, they said. “More than one lactic people received Ayushman Bharat medical cards and 466 women benefited from the PM Vandan Yojan matrum,” the officials said.
