Fifteen wastewater treatment plants (STP) will be established in the state under various local bodies within the Atal mission for rejuvenation and urban transformation (Amrut) 2.0.
The Ministry of Housing and Municipal Trade unions published its share in the first repayment of CRORE 5.25 GBP for establishing races. Plants are set up as part of the JAL HI amrit initiative within the Amrut 2.0 to motivate the city local authorities to improve the quality of the treated water by ensuring the effective operations of the treatment plant and supporting recycling and reuse.
The motivation for plant settings will be released into the state in the motivational structure of 70:30 on the basis of whether it has reached the clean water credits 3 stars and higher. The establishment of a cell for water resources (WRRC) to support sustainable and circular control of used water and biosolides at the state level is a prerequisite to release the first 70% of incentives.
Allocation
The total amount of funds assigned to motivation within the system is the CRORE 7.50 GBP. The first installment (70%) of this amount has now been published. The funds will be deposited on the storage devoted to wastewater treatment by the affected local authorities and must be used for specific activities to improve the efficiency and sustainability of plants.
The local government department, modeled at a successfully running waste water treatment plant in Muttathara, Thiruvananthapuram, is currently in the process of setting up the STP and the FECal sludge treatment (FSTP) in different parts of the state.
Piped Network
The Muttathara plant with a capacity to treat 107 million liters per day (billion) of waste water was established in 2013 for the price of 80 Crore. Waste water from approximately 40 of 100 wards in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation achieve STP directly over the network pipes, while the rest of the areas are brought tankers.
