Actress Sudha Chandran opened up about her viral Mata ki Chowki video from January. According to him, he does not remember what exactly happened.
The viral video left many viewers shocked and confused. The footage showed the actress in an emotionally devastated state. It was a religious gathering, not a movie or TV shoot.

People present, including actor Jaswir Kaur, tried to pacify and restrain her. But she fought back and even tried to bite someone nearby.
Reactions online were divided. Some believed the incident had a spiritual cause and described it as a possession. Others called for sensitivity and awareness of mental health. The video sparked debates and concerns about her health.
During an interaction with Hindi Rush, she was asked what happened that day.
“I don’t know what was there or how it was. And I’m not even saying that the Goddess entered me. If the Goddess actually enters someone, the body can’t take it. A human being can’t sustain that level of energy,” she said.
“It’s possible that some small percentage of that energy came as a blessing. But whether it was Her presence or something else, I don’t know. Still, I feel blessed because I believe in these things,” the actress said.
“I’m not here to look for confirmation from anyone. If I start confirming my every action, it would mean that I don’t believe in myself. Then I would be betraying myself,” she added.
According to Sudha Chandran, she respects everyone’s beliefs and expects the same for her own spiritual experiences. She thinks people may not believe, but they shouldn’t question her faith.
According to the actress, such divine or spiritual phenomena continue to exist even in modern times. Many families experience a “presence” during prayers. She insisted she did nothing supernatural and said the different interpretations reflected personal attitudes.
She was asked if something like this had happened to her before. According to her, similar moments occurred when she felt the presence of the Mother.
“Whenever the mother is present, there is a slightly increased energy. Otherwise, it is also a state of mind. The state of mind matters. But this time the energy level has increased slightly,” she said.
I’m not here to seek validation from anyone
Sudha Chandran said she does not clearly remember what happened during the incident. According to her husband, she drank about 4.5 liters of water in 6-7 minutes. And she repeatedly asked for more water.

She described the moment as something that defies normal explanation. She said that certain spiritual experiences should be received on faith rather than constant questioning.
“Don’t try to explore what is unexplored. Some things are just there. Trust them. When we keep poking at them, problems start and life gets disrupted,” said Sudha Chandran.
“People ask if such things can happen in 2026. Some even make jokes or make strange comments. We can only laugh at that,” she added.
Sudha Chandran felt extreme exhaustion for almost 1.5 days afterwards. She described it as an effect of divine energy. She also connected these feelings with a lifelong faith and unexpected moments of silent prayer.
“Since childhood, prayer and faith left a deep imprint on my mind. Personally, I often felt divine intervention when things seemed impossible. Sometimes I get answers in temples or in moments of silence before God,” she added.
“During prayers sometimes such a presence is felt and solutions appear. That’s what I experienced,” she concluded.
Reaction on social networks
Social network users responded to her statement. Many of them agreed with the Bollywood actress.
“I had a paranormal activity. As described, at night I felt like someone was sitting on my chest and I couldn’t make a sound. No part of my body moved. Only my eyes were open,” wrote one user.

One user commented, “He’s right. I felt it too. I tried to shout for help but it didn’t work. Then I started chanting the Gayatri mantra and my voice got heavy. After that my body felt so heavy and tired.”
“Ancestors ask for water, not cosmic aura. After cosmic aura, one is so exhausted that one falls into a deep sleep,” chimed in another.
