
A 27 -year -old man who was sought in connection with the Murder of Thazhathangadi nearby, finally landed in police custody.
The defendant, Mohammed Bilal of Veloora, was detained from Bengaluru 16 July. Police wanted him to murder Mohammed Sali and his wife Sheeby Sali, who were found in their house in Paradadam, near Kottayam, in June 2020.
Although Bilal was initially arrested by Police Kottayam West, during his court at the District Court in Kottayam escaped.
Other cases
The special investigation team from the Kottayam West police station, acting on the lead that placed Bilala in Bengalur, tracked him and arrested him. He was brought back to Kottayam, made in court and was taken in custody.
Officials said Bilal was also listed as noisy at Kottayam West police station. It also faces charges in at least five cases of theft and one case related to women’s harassment.
