“Foundation stone very soon for Jindal mega industrial park”

Andhra Pradesh Industries and Commerce Department Secretary N. Yuvaraj on Saturday directed Vizianagaram Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy and Joint Collector S. Sedhu Madhavan to take steps for an early foundation stone ceremony for JSW Industrial Park Limited in S. Kota constituency.

The Collector assured to take steps for the program after speaking to representatives of the Jindal group. The government’s initiative gained significance in the backdrop of agitation by farmers who alleged that the group had failed to fulfill its promises such as employment for family members and distribution of shares.

The group acquired nearly 1,166 acres of land near Boddavaram in S. Kota constituency 15 years ago. The company originally proposed the Alumina project, but planned to set up an industrial park on the acquired land.
