
Filmper Manish Gupta was booked for alleged injury to the driver with a kitchen knife, a police officer in Mumbai said on Friday. Gupta reportedly attacked his driver after the argument of his salary.
The incident occurred on Thursday evening at the Gupta residence in the Sagar Sanjog building, the Versova police station cited the PTI.
“Gupta reportedly injured his driver Rajibul Islam Lashkar (32),” the clerk said.
Gupta was booked according to sections 118 (2), 115 (2) and 352 Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit for voluntarily causing severe injuries by dangerous weapons, intentional insults to cause violation of peace and other crimes.
He must still be arrested, the police said.
Lashkar’s advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh searched for immediate arrest Gupta.
According to Press Journal Free Press, the company said Lashkar worked with a filmmaker for three years on salary £23 000.
But Lashkar claimed he was never paid in time.
On May 30, Gupta reportedly released him without cleaning his fees. To get his money, Lashkar re -joined the duty, but was still not paid, allegedly said the driver.
This led to the verbal argument among them on Friday evening in the residence of the filmmaker Versova.
Lashkar claimed that Gupta stabbed him with a kitchen knife during his argument. Then he threw himself into the nearby Cooper Hospital.
After medical treatment, he filed against the Police Station of Versa Firms against the Gupta filmmakers.
