
Director PA. Ranjith and three others were booked by the Keelaiyur police in connection with the death of stunt coach Mohanraj during the filming of the film in the Nagapattinam district.
The incident occurred on Sunday during the planned filming organized by Neelam Productions in ALAPPAKKUDU as part of Keelaiyur police limits. Mohanraj, 52, Poongandam resident in the Kancheepuram district and a professional stunt coordinator, allegedly collapsed on the scene and was hurried to Nagapattinam Government Medical College Hospital, where he was declared dead.
The case was originally registered under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit (BNS) Act. Postmort was made on Monday morning and the body was handed over to the family.
Based on the findings of the medical team and the statements of eyewitnesses at the shooting site, the case has now been revised and reserved according to Sections 289 (negligent behavior), 125 (establishment of a crime) and 106 (1) (1) (wine murder not at the amount of murder) of the BNS Act.
PA. Ranjith, Vinoth, Stunt Choreographic, Rajkamal, Neela Productions and Prabhakaran were appointed account.
