The Ministry of the Interior (MHA) ordered the states to carry out a nationwide false exercise to evaluate the readiness of civil defense as a result of the deadly Pahalgam attacks.
FALECHT DRILLS will include activation of Sirens Air Raid, training civilians and students in basic self -defense, control of outages, masking key infrastructure, in addition to reviewing and rehearsing evacuation plans.
FALECHTING DRILL is a type of practical operation intended to prepare individuals for potential emergency or critical situations. The last such drill took place in 1971, the same year of India and Pakistan went to the war on two fronts.

2. Training of civilians, students, aspects of civil defense to protect themselves in the case of an enemy attack.

Test for outages in the canton of Ferozepur
The 30 -minute test for the blackout has already been carried out on Sunday 4th May through the Ferozpur Cantonment area. The exercise, which took place from 9:00 to 21:30, was carried out on the basis of the Canton Council Directives and the station commander.
“All lights were turned off according to higher officers’ orders. Any vehicle found with light on the light was immediately asked to turn them off,” said Gurjant Singh, the show from the Ferozepur Cantt police station said PTI.
“The police are high readiness and staff deployed at all key intersections,” added Gujrant Singh.
