England playing XI vs. India in 3rd T20I: Hosts retain winning combination

NEW DELHI: England have named an unchanged playing XI for the third T20I against India at Trent Bridge on Tuesday. Harry Brook’s side go into the match with a 1-0 lead in the five-match series after beating India by four wickets at Old Trafford. The T20I opening was washed out by rain.

England chased down 191 in the second T20I despite a poor start. Arshdeep Singh removed Phil Salt and Jose Buttler for ducks in the opener to move the hosts to 1/2.Skipper Brook hit a quick-fire 39 off just 12 balls before Jacob Bethell and Tom Banton rebuilt the innings with a decisive partnership. Banton scored 39 while Bethell remained unbeaten on 76 off 46 balls, hitting five fours and five sixes.India fought back through Arshdeep and Varun Chakaravarthy, but Bethell turned the game in England’s favor with a 29-run run off Ravi Bishnoi. He later completed a six-ball chase alongside Jofra Archer.England have announced an unchanged playing eleven for the third T20I at Trent Bridge.
