
District collector K. Vetriselvi on Monday distributed touch phones worth 1.52 ₹ Lakh to eight sleeved recipients. The distribution took place in the Hall Godavari Meeting Hall in the district picker as part of the PGRS (Public Greevation Redressal System).
Each recipient received a 19,000 GBP smartphone to increase their communication and digital integration. Selected individuals cleaned the level of level at the level and demonstrated the knowledge of sign language and fulfilled all the government prescribed criteria for eligibility.
The event was also present at the joint collector of P. Dhatireddy, district income officer V. Vishweshwara Rao and assistant director of the Social Care Department for various citizens B. RAM Kumar.
According to government standards, free smartphones are provided for people with hearing disabilities who are over 18 years of age, have a BPL thank you (below the poverty line) and have at least 40% of certified disabilities. The initiative is part of the constant efforts of the government of Andr Pradesh to bridge the digital abyss and promote inclusion for people with disabilities.
