Actor Jagadeesh decided to withdraw the nomination for the post of President of the Association of Malaysian Film Artists (AMMA).
He was among the six actors who submitted their nomination documentaries to the highest place in the body of the actors in the Malaysian film industry. Mr. Jagadeesh was looking for a concurrence of actors, including Mohanlal, Mammoothy and Suresh Gopi before he decided to withdraw the nomination.
It was said that he decided to withdraw from fragmentation in the middle of support from various neighborhoods for the President of the woman.
Swetha Menon is a candidate of a lonely woman who has given the nomination to the place. Actor Ravendran on Tuesday withdrew the nomination to the place, although he said he would compete for the post of Secretary General.
The actor Devan said on Wednesday (July 30, 2025) that he did not plan to withdraw from the President’s position, when he pointed out that he decided to give his nomination only after the older actor Mohanla decided from the race.
He said that “Women have all the rights to take over the leading roles in any organization. But it should not be at the mercy of men. It would be an insult to actor Swetha Menon, who competes for the place of the president, if Mr. Jagadeesh has to take care of the race,” he said.
A clear picture on the final list of candidates will appear on Thursday (July 31, 2025) in the evening. The deadline for downloading nominations is around 15:00
The elections are scheduled for August 15.
