Election officials and police seized 30 kg of ganja from an omnibus during a vehicle check in Tiruvannamalai on Saturday as part of enforcement of the model code of conduct.
Police said members of the Static Surveillance Team (SST) intercepted the vehicle near Venmani Koot Road, which falls under Polur Assembly constituency in the district. On checking, the team initially found 10 kg of ganja from the bus.
