The Indian Election Commission (ECI) said on Thursday (June 5, 2025) that it upgraded the mechanism for generating index cards, allowing it to technologically more technologically. The index card is a non -Nestator, after the election of statistical reports that supports the availability of data related to electoral data at the election district level for all parties, including scientists, academic communities and politicians.
This upgraded mechanism replaces traditional manual methods that were often time consuming and prone to delay. Using automation and data integration, the new system ensures faster reports, ECI said in its statement.

Previously, the information was manually filled in at the election district level using various statutory formats in physical index cards. These physical index cards were then used to enter data into the online system to make it easier to generate statistical messages. The manual, multilayer process was time consuming and often led to the availability and distribution of data.
Designed to disseminate data across various dimensions, including candidates, voters, votes, counting votes, party and candidate voice shares, gender-based vote, regional changes and performance of political parties-index cards are the basis for issuing approximately 35 statistical reports for electoral election and 14 Statistical reports for the State Assembly.
